Hydraulic grab in biowaste pre-treatment
Grabs made for biogas plants are used in biowaste reception. In the biogas production chain they are attached to overhead cranes and act as the first handling equipment when trucks bring the biowaste to the plant. The grab crane moves the waste from the reception pit to the next pre-treatment unit, where biogas production begins.
Our grab package has been delivered together with an overhead crane, but under certain conditions it can also be installed on an existing crane. The components needed for a working grab are a hydraulic oil tank, a power unit, the necessary hoses and the grab itself. In the units we manufacture, the crane hook and reeving are usually replaced as well, which gives a more stable lift and prevents uncontrolled rotation of the grab.
