Customised lifting and turning device

We manufactured a custom-designed lifting and turning device for handling elements. The device has an adjustable, electrically operated gripping and turning mechanism controlled with a pendant. It runs on battery power and its maximum load is 800 kg.

The lifting and turning device is attached to an overhead crane, allowing elements to be lifted, stacked and turned into transport position, or moved from a transport platform to a storage rack.

The turning movement, for example to raise a horizontal element into an upright position, is done with a second angle gear and a DC motor.

Turning devices are always designed around the piece, the load and the work phase. The solution takes into account the lifting method, turning movement, control, attachment and the site’s safety requirements, so that the piece can be handled in a controlled and repeatable way.
