Description
Overhead cranes are versatile and efficient solutions for demanding lifting needs in industry and production plants. They are suited to moving, handling and lifting various loads across a wide range of capacities and sizes. Overhead cranes offer an optimal lifting solution for both light and heavy loads, whatever the demands of the operating environment.
Our range covers single-girder and double-girder overhead cranes as well as special solutions that can be fully tailored to the customer’s needs and site conditions. The cranes can be equipped with various lifting accessories, control systems and travel paths or limiters to support efficient and safe work.
Well-designed and well-built overhead cranes improve production flow, ergonomics and occupational safety, and offer a long service life with low maintenance costs.
Whether it is a new lifting application or the modernisation of an old crane system, we provide expert solutions from design to commissioning.

Single-girder overhead crane

Double-girder overhead crane

Free-standing single-girder overhead crane
Top-running overhead crane
- Runway typically supported by the building structure, e.g. on brackets
- The crane runs on top of the runway along a guide rail
- Suited to new buildings and buildings whose structures are dimensioned for a crane
Underhung overhead crane
- Runway typically directly on the ceiling or otherwise positioned as high as possible
- The crane runs on the underside of the runway, with the end carriage wheels running on the runway beam flange
- Suited to sites where the smallest possible structural height at the runway is required
- Can be fitted with a raised bridge so the bridge girder runs between the runways
Free-standing overhead crane
- Runway supported on its own columns
- Crane runway of the same design as in a top-running crane
- Can be placed in the middle of the hall or anywhere on the floor
- Well suited to new halls or older sites where the runway cannot be supported by the building structure
Crane features and options
- Runway beam in profile steel
- Fixed or movable end stops available
- Structural dimensioning to suit the space
- Adjustable slow-down and end limit positions
- Power supply can be by flat cable, energy chain or conductor rail
- Control by pendant or radio
- Option for spotlights or auxiliary equipment connections
- Single- and double-girder designs
- Surface treatment also available galvanised or with greater film thicknesses
