Lifting accessories for customer needs
Mechanical grabs are designed according to the shape of the part, the gripping surface and the lifting method. Grabs can be used, for example, for lifting bogies, concrete elements and special parts. See also lifting forks and turning devices.
We manufacture CE-marked lifting accessories – such as lifting beams, lifting forks and grabs – to suit the customer’s individual lifting needs, the characteristics of the part and the requirements of the operating environment. Every solution is designed to meet the health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive.
All our lifting devices are tailored to the customer’s individual needs. Whether it is palletised goods, pipes, reels or an irregularly shaped part, we design a solution that ensures safe and efficient lifting and moving. We also offer special solutions, such as self-balancing mechanisms and dimensionally adjustable structures.
All lifting devices we manufacture are carefully documented, and when needed we provide instruction in their safe use.
Designed together with the customer
Careful dimensioning and the design of a working solution require mapping out certain key details – we go through these with you as part of the quotation and design process.
In the design we take into account:
The dimensions and weight of the part to be lifted
The lifting method and any special requirements of the operating environment
The required overall length and maximum effective length
The structural height and any adjustment range
The number of lifting points
The method of suspension from the crane (e.g. hook, ring, bracket)
