Description
DYNEX fibre ropes are premium ropes made from Dyneema fibres. These multi-strand braided ropes are known for their excellent roundness and smooth surface, which makes them ideal for demanding applications.
Key features:
Light and buoyant: Dyneema® fibre has a density of 0.97 g/cm³, which makes the ropes light and able to float on water.
High tensile strength: Tensile strength is 3.5 N/tex, meaning the ropes withstand high loads relative to their weight.
Low elongation: DYNEX 75 ropes have an elongation of only 3.7%, ensuring minimal stretch in use.
Excellent chemical resistance: The ropes resist a wide range of chemicals and UV radiation, extending their service life in demanding conditions.
High melting point: The melting point is 144–152 °C, allowing use at high temperatures.
Technical data:
| Diameter (mm) | Weight (kg/100 m) | Breaking strength (tonnes) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 0,58 | 1,0 |
| 4 | 1,10 | 2,0 |
| 5 | 1,61 | 3,5 |
| 6 | 2,30 | 4,2 |
| 8 | 3,80 | 6,7 |
| 10 | 6,10 | 10,7 |
| 12 | 9,30 | 16,4 |
| 14 | 12,5 | 21,8 |
| 16 | 16,0 | 27,4 |
| 18 | 20,7 | 35,0 |
| 20 | 25,2 | 41,9 |
The ropes are treated with a Duracoat coating that improves wear resistance and extends service life. Splicing reduces breaking strength by about 10%.
Applications:
Offshore and marine industry: The light, durable construction makes the ropes ideal for demanding marine conditions.
Cranes and winches: High tensile strength and low elongation ensure precise and safe lifting.
Sailing and boating: The light, buoyant material is well suited to sailing ropes.
DYNEX fibre ropes offer an excellent combination of lightness, durability and performance, making them a reliable choice for many purposes.
